What Is A Venue Stylist?

So what is a venue stylist? In many ways, it can be whatever you want it to be!

The word venue stylist means different things to different people.

Venue styling services may include:

We are often known as “event decorators”, “event dressers”, “prop stylists”, “event stylists”, “event designers” and there is a cross-over with event planning too!

When Liz started out as a wedding planner, she began styling the venues by default.

Working together with our clients, she designed the overall look of the event and curated the individual suppliers and elements involved. This included everything from table centrepieces and chair covers, to elaborate lighting effects, draping and props.

We began to invest in our own equipment and Doug also designed and built any custom props we needed.

Starting small, we hired out backdrops and table candelabra, soon expanding into full draping solutions, table centrepieces and theming.

Now our styling business Stressfree | The Venue Transformers has a warehouse full of kit, a comprehensive maintenance and procurement programme, and the events world is very much our oyster!

Imagine …

• Decorating a wedding venue so it looks stunning for the big day
• Theming a party and embracing your inner “James Bond” or “Bridgerton”
• Creating a spectacular window display to draw customers into a shop
• Dressing a company headquarters to transform it from the daily office into a festive staff party
• Designing and building a set piece to promote services at an exhibition
• Curating and arranging props for a promotional photo shoot

These are just a few examples of the types of work you may be asked for as a venue stylist.
